Ben & Hannalee's Wedding at Hotel Covington

Ben and Hannalee's black-tie Covington wedding moved from a richly detailed ceremony at Mother of God Church into portraits around downtown and a reception at Hotel Covington's Lightwell, where black-and-white styling, white florals, live saxophone and a full dance floor carried the night.

A Covington wedding built around church architecture, city portraits and a late-night Hotel Covington celebration.

Ben and Hannalee married in Covington on May 2, 2026. Their ceremony took place at Mother of God Church before the celebration moved to Hotel Covington's Lightwell for dinner and dancing.

GETTING READY

Pearls, a sculpted white gown and small golf details set the visual tone.

Hannalee's getting-ready sequence stays light and clean: a white robe, pearl jewelry and close dress details before the veil goes on. Golf-ball monograms and ring details add a playful thread that appears again in Ben's part of the day.

MOTHER OF GOD CHURCH

Painted ceilings, stained glass and a long tiled aisle framed the ceremony.

Mother of God Church gives the ceremony a completely different scale from the rest of the day. The tall twin towers announce the setting from outside, while murals, stained glass and the patterned center aisle create the visual structure inside.

DOWNTOWN COVINGTON

From the church steps to Hotel Covington, the portraits keep the city close.

After the ceremony, Ben and Hannalee moved through Covington with their wedding party. Black dresses and tuxedos make the group portraits graphic against the storefronts and pale city architecture, while the couple portraits stay loose and close.

HOTEL COVINGTON · THE LIGHTWELL

Black, white and green details carried the reception into the evening.

At Hotel Covington, the reception design shifts to crisp black-and-white table settings, white flowers and greenery, lace-covered cocktail tables and small lamps. The welcome sign brings Ben and Hannalee's date back into the room while the Lightwell opens into dinner and dancing.

THE PARTY

Live saxophone, a second white dress and a dance floor that stayed busy.

A saxophonist plays into the reception before the room turns fully into a party. Later Hannalee changes into a short white lace dress, guests pick up glow sticks and the dance floor gets busier as the night continues.
